Your rail journey continues east towards the Canadian Rockies. Travel through vast ranchlands, past Kinbasket Lake and alongside the shores of Kicking Horse River. Wind through the Spiral Tunnels, a Swiss engineering marvel first opened in 1909, and cross the Continental Divide of the Americas into the province of Alberta. Gliding between the emerald pines and jagged peaks of Banff National Park, including towering Castle Mountain, it’s not long before you’ll arrive at Lake Louise. Rejoin your train this morning in time for breakfast as a golden morning glow is cast over the landscapes of the Cariboo region. Continue along the historic route of early gold rush pioneers, taking in views of the Fraser Canyon before crossing Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Sweep along the shores of Seton Lake and Anderson Lake before arriving in Whistler.
