We are very excited to have you join us in Europe very soon. Below are a few key bits of information you will want to know before departing on your European adventure.

Preparing For Your Trip
Europe Voyages Cruises (AMA Waterways)
You are required to complete an online check-in via the AMA Waterways website prior to departure.
This online check-in opens at approximately 90 days prior to departure and we advise you to please complete your check-in and select your touring options as early as possible. Note: Online check-in for AMA Waterways cruises close 7 days prior to departure so it is important that you complete this prior to then.

(Please note the Booking Number required to login is different to your ATG Booking Number. If you do not have this, please either contact us or your booking agent who will be able to assist.)
Visa Requirements for Europe
Please note: The information is only relevant for Australian and New Zealand citizens/passport holders. For the most up to date visa and travel advice please make sure to check the relevant travel advice website. Read more.
Turkey
An e-Visa will need to be obtained prior to departure for travel to Turkey. The e-Visa is valid for 90 days and will cost approximately USD$60.

European Schengen Area

ETIAS is being implemented for all nationalities who do not currently need a visa to travel to Europe. Once it is introduced in 2024, it is mandatory to have an ETIAS for Australian citizens to travel to Europe, to any of the Schengen countries.
ETIAS for Europe is a multiple entry travel authorization that allows holders to travel to Schengen countries for a total stay of 90 days per entry.

Travel Insurance
Ship Embarkation
Official embarkation of the ship will be confirmed in your documents closer to your departure date, however if you do arrive early, you are welcome to check your luggage early and head off to explore your port city. Unless you have booked flights or pre-departure accommodation with APT, you will need to make your own way to the port. Please refer to this website the week of your departure date and check the day of travel to confirm your port location.
While You Are Travelling With APT
Dining
All meals on board your cruise are included. Meals are served in the dining room in a single sitting. Reservations can only be made once onboard the ship – Note: No table reservations can be made at the main restaurant.
Vegetarian and Gluten free can be catered for – but please inform us of any dietary requirements well in advance of departure.
Dress Code
For excursions casual, comfortable clothing and flat shoes are recommended. Your luggage should include a breathable windproof/waterproof jacket, warm jumper, warm hat, hat with brim and walking trousers/shorts. It is also advisable to pack several smart casual outfits for evenings and a more formal clothing for the Welcome Dinner or if you are planning an evening at the theatre.
Laundry
Laundry service is available onboard. Price lists will be available in your suite. Note, if you are on a river cruise, select suites do have complimentary laundry service, you can check your suites inclusions here. Guests are not permitted to bring their own iron onboard the ship for safety reasons.
Wellness Centre
APT’s Concerto and AmaWaterways Aria ships offer Wellness Centre with cardiovascular equipment and, on some ships, a sauna. You will also have a Wellness Host who will lead morning exercise classes and bikes are available for use by guests at most ports.
