Arrive in Cairns early this morning then join another flight to Rabul. On arrival, we’ll transfer you to the MS Island Sky. Enjoy welcome drinks and dinner as you dock here overnight.

Daily :Board a Zodiac and explore the Duke of York Islands, whose surrounding waters were the site where the HMAS AE1, the first allied vessel, went missing in World War I. Weather permitting, discover Mioko Island.
Spend the day on a Signature Experience.
Daily :Spend the morning surrounded by the volcanic beauty of Garove Island, where outstanding swimming and snorkelling spots can be found. You might also like to explore the local village with a guide, including its community house. Later, return to your ship for lunch before spending the afternoon on board.
Daily :Arrive in Lababia, your entry to the Kamiali Wildlife Management Area. You have the opportunity to take a rainforest walk or enjoy time in the local village for an insight into unique traditions, culture and daily life.
Daily :Arrive early morning in the fjordland of Papua New Guinea. Board a Zodiac to explore the fjords and visit the local villages. While here, your expedition team will scout the perfect location for you to snorkel
Daily :Head out on a Zodiac to land on Fergusson Island. From here, walk to the local hot springs and bubbling mud pools surrounded by lush vegetation. Later, back on board, cruise through the Dobu Passage over lunch. Board a Zodiac to explore or land on shore to meet the local villagers.
Daily :Explore the town or head out with your expedition team to discover the surrounding rainforest.
Arrive in Alotau and hear about the Battle of Milne Bay, which marked the first defeat of the Japanese on land during the Pacific War. Visit Turnbull Field Memorial, named after Squadron Leader Peter Turnbull, the Commanding Officer killed in action in the Battle of Milne Bay. You’ll also see where the locals congregate to sell their wares, offering a trove of local artefacts including Trobriand carvings. Later, choose your activity.
Daily :Have your camera ready to capture the jagged peaks of the Owen Stanley Range come into view before arriving at the island of Bonarua in Milne Bay. Go ashore to see fishing and weaving demonstrations and wander through the village sampling local delicacies. Birdwatchers have the chance to trek into the thicket while the warm waters of the Coral Sea offer a final opportunity for a swim.
Daily :Along the Kokoda Track, Stop at Bomana Cemetery, the resting ground of many soldiers along the way. You’ll visit McDonald’s Corner and see its unusual metal statue signifying the point where troops passed into the jungle. Later, arrive at Owers’ Corner, where Australian troops made their last stand during one of the most significant battles of World War II. Enjoy lunch on the spectacular ridge looking out across the Owen Stanley Range. From here, walk in the footsteps of those who served, with a short introductory trek along the Kokoda Track.
Disembark in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea’s capital, and venture to the Kokoda Track, which is considered a great pilgrimage for Australians. Later check into your hotel for a farewell dinner this evening.
