Fly over Goyder Lagoon and follow the Diamantina River to Birdsville. Here, take in the thriving community of this outback town on a tour followed by lunch. Take to the sky once more and absorb the vistas across sand dunes, including Big Red, the Simpson Desert and Warburton River, before reaching Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre. Rare outback rains have dramatically transformed the normally dry lake bed, and your bird’s-eye view gives you the most spectacular perspective of this unforgettable event. Following the changing countryside, fly over the Marree Man, the largest geoglyph and work of art in the world, the origin of which remains a mystery.
