Whitehorse Return

The Yukon Territory of Canada is just about as remote as they come. British Columbia, Alaska and the Beaufort Sea mix and match for a beautiful blend of nature. And here is one of the few places in the world where you can watch as the aurora borealis sparkles bright in the sky. The north truly is a place of wonder, and that’s exactly why your excursion begins here. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy at leisure and explore this gold-rush city. Pop in at one of the many galleries and museums, or take a stroll along the banks of the Yukon River. This evening, set out on your viewing of the northern lights. You’ll be cosy inside a heated tent or cabin, and filled with anticipation. Bundle up and sip a hot chocolate to help keep warm!

Stay: Whitehorse, central location

Kick off the day with a guided discovery of Whitehorse. Head onwards in the afternoon, being taken to Boreale Ranch. Located on private land, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, your stay here will be filled with the sweet scent of pine trees. Take the time to unwind before dinner. Afterwards, be sure to keep your eyes on the skies in hope of seeing the northern lights. Named after the Roman Goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for the north wind, Borealis, the spectacle is legendary in every sense of the word.
