Today journey over the Neva River to the State Hermitage for a special tour before the museum is open, where you will take in the exclusive Hermitage Peacock Clock Ceremony. Acquired by Catherine the Great in 1871, the Peacock Clock is a large automated clock featuring three life-sized mechanical birds.
After the ceremony, tour the museum. Forming part of the Winter Palace, it is home to Russia’s royal art collection of more than three million works.
