What does your job entail?
Based in France, I work as a cruise director on the APT European river cruises and as an expedition leader on our European small ship program. The roles are similar in that I am responsible for organising all the onshore and on ship activities for our guests and for ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

What do you love most about it?
It is hard to say what I love most as I love it all - the joy of helping guests experience a country or place for the first time, the ever changing office window, the friendship and camaraderie, the excitement, the inevitable challenges... but above all, working for a company that I am proud to be a part of.

How long have you worked for APT?
I have worked for our company for over 10 years and in tourism for over 30! APT gives me the opportunity to travel for a living – what's not to love? Helping our guests experience their holiday of a lifetime is an incredibly rewarding and humbling experience and one I shall never tire of.

What does travel mean to you?
Travel is my lifeblood. Travelling gives me an enormous sense of freedom and well being. To experience different cultures, meet new people and learn different perspectives, provides me with a greater understanding and appreciation of the world in which we live.

Where is travel 'calling' you?
At the moment, I am exploring close to home and feel fortunate to have discovered beautiful medieval towns, ancient forests and wonderful landscapes. I am in my happy place. But I look forward to visiting Japan soon and to travel though India is high on my bucket list.
