Meet APT Cruise Director – Isabel Janela

Everything is shipshape on a Douro River cruise with dedicated Cruise Director Isabel Janela, who has worked with APT since 2017.

"Like a maestro conducting his orchestra I make sure that everything and everyone involved is playing the same music for the best performance for our guests," she says.

It's also about fun! Some of Isabel's favourite on-tour moments have been the Captain's dinners and after-parties on board with the guests and the late Captain Antonio. "Together we turned them into the best dancing and singing nights ever," she recalls.

A Douro River cruise takes you through Portugal's dramatic Douro Valley. This stunning waterway is dotted with family-run quintas (estates) and hilltop vineyards, before opening out into the Atlantic Sea beyond the ancient city of Porto. Hear Isabel talk of her love for the delights of the Douro River and why she can't wait to welcome you back.

Travel is calling. Let’s get back out there!
