On board the brand-new APT Solara and APT Ostara, APT delivers five-star dining experiences in six stunning spaces, each unique and meticulously designed to reflect the delectable cuisines and diverse gastronomy of Europe — plus in-suite dining for the ultimate in comfort and convenience.
Developed by the inimitable experts at Fellow Hospitality with the core values of regionality, curated quality, flexibility and seasonality front of mind, the venues set a new standard for culinary adventures on the iconic rivers of mainland Europe.
Experiences range from intimate and curated wine-focused set menus to casual Mediterranean feasts in the sunshine – the diversity of offerings not only spans the venues themselves, but also the seasons during which guests travel.
The welcoming Bistro Saison provides the distinct charm of a European bistro, offering classic fare from local regions with modern flair. The venue offers buffet and à la carte breakfast and lunch options, as well as a three-course à la carte dinner. ‘Saison’, meaning ‘season’, is the heart of the concept serving fresh, seasonal food and regional dishes inspired by the journey, all in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.
You’ll be able to connect with newfound friends and the cultures of your riverside destinations at The Salon, a relaxed space designed with the ships’ social aspects in mind. Offering fabulous flavours at breakfast and lunch, the flexible salon space can be whatever you want to make it, from a reading spot with a freshly prepared Fjord barista coffee in hand in the morning to an entertainment hub where live music will have you dancing into the evening.
Meanwhile, contemporary dinners await at Annie’s Table, centred around family favourites executed with precision and dished up in a shareable setting. With a three-course set menu featuring classic European dishes and local wines, it’s a heartfelt homage to Founder Geoff McGearey’s wife, Annie and the joy of sharing comforting, home-style meals with others.
The Grüner Bar & Dining is a unique wine and cocktail venue, with dishes inspired by Grüner Markt, the fresh produce markets of Germany, offering seasonal, locally inspired small plates designed for sharing. Reminiscent of a neighbourhood wine bar, it’s a place to relax, chat with friends, and indulge in incredible food and drink, including the signature Grüner Veltliner wine. A cutting-edge hydraulic system lifts the entire venue from the Upper Deck to the Sun Deck, creating a dynamic dining experience with panoramic views.
Fresh BBQ-style delights with a Mediterranean touch await atop The Daystar Deck. During the warmer months, this setting comes to life on the Upper Sun Deck with a light, fresh menu featuring grilled meats, seasonal vegetables, vibrant salads, and delicious desserts, all served with spectacular views. It’s a relaxed, sunlit dining experience you won’t want to miss.
But the crème de la crème for many is The Owner’s Cellar – an intimate wine cellar hosting just 16 guests. Its exclusive five-course tasing menu features courses perfectly matched with premium wines only available in the private cellar. Think dry-aged rib eye with a pinot noir, and Bavarian chocolate mousse scooped to order.
In-suite dining is also offered in all APT Ostara and APT Solara suite categories. With access to meals from the Bistro, the ‘Always Available’ menu features a selection of dishes to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own room. It’s perfect for a relaxed but sophisticated night in, whether you're unwinding with in-suite entertainment or watching the riverscapes drift by.
A vast selection of included beverages also flows freely throughout your cruise, with seasonal signature cocktails, local beer and wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee on hand to match each meal and further elevate your holiday. Fellow Hospitality founder Monique Lane says each setting has been purposefully designed with flexible which honour the seasons and regional specialties of Europe.
“My aim is to elevate river cruise dining to the level of standalone hospitality,” Lane said. “Alongside the passionate APT team, I’ve developed venues that honour the values and integrity of the great restaurants of the world; sourcing quality local produce, working within seasons, and being inspired by our surrounds.”
