Accessing the Kimberley can present significant challenges for travellers with mobility or other accessibility needs, whether visiting as part of an organised tour or travelling independently. The region’s remote landscapes, rugged terrain, unsealed roads, and limited infrastructure mean that not all experiences, facilities, or accommodations are suitable for every guest. The information that follows outlines the accessibility features and limitations of APT’s Kimberley Lodges, which may or may not meet the needs of travellers requiring additional support. While many guests visit the Lodges as part of an APT tour, the properties also welcome independent, self-drive visitors exploring the Kimberley on their own route and schedule.

APT operates three luxury wilderness lodges across the Kimberley region: Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge, Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, and Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge. Each property is uniquely designed to complement its remote environment, and accommodation layouts and facilities may vary slightly between lodges. The following information is intended to provide a general overview of accessibility considerations common to all three lodges, rather than detailed specifications for each individual property.
