The APT Travel Group Recognised as Australia’s Most Outstanding Global Tour Operator at NTIA 2026

The award was presented at the NTIA Gala Awards, held in Melbourne on 10 October, where the travel industry came together to celebrate excellence across the sector. The recognition comes as part of a record-breaking awards season, with more than 21,000 votes cast by the Australian travel industry.

The win comes during a significant year for the business as The APT Travel Group prepares to celebrate its centenary in 2027, marking 100 years since the company was founded.

The recognition reflects the strength of The APT Travel Group's portfolio of brands, continued innovation, investment in guest experiences, and the enduring partnerships that continue to drive the business forward.

The award follows a year of sustained growth and innovation for The APT Travel Group. The company marked its return to Egypt with the launch of Travelmarvel Sirius on the Nile River, a purpose-built river ship, while Travelmarvel Rigel made its debut on Europe’s waterways. Closer to home, the PS Australian Star joined the Murray River, further strengthening APT’s position as a market leader in the cruise market.

The momentum continues with the announcement of Travelmarvel’s first premium small ship, a significant milestone that opens an exciting new chapter for the brand and gives more guests more ways to travel with Travelmarvel.

The APT Travel Group Chief Executive Office, David Cox, said the award was a proud recognition of the people, partnerships and values that have shaped the business over nearly a century.
