Welcome to Cairo. We will meet you on arrival at Cairo airport and transfer you to your luxurious hotel, set along the Corniche on the banks of the mighty Nile River.

Depart the bustle of Cairo and set off along the legendary desert road towards the Mediterranean coast and the city of Alexandria. Spend time exploring the ancient catacombs and Pompey’s Pillar. Check in to your hotel’s sea view room and enjoy lunch at leisure. Later this afternoon discover Alexandria’s contemporary side with a visit to the impressive Bibliotheca Library, with shelf space for up to eight million books. Tonight, dine at a local restaurant.

This morning your discoveries of Alexandria’s fascinating history continue. This afternoon you’ll have time to relax back at the glamorous hotel with its own private beach, luxury spa and restaurants and bars, many with Mediterranean views.

Set off for El Alamein, the infamous World War II battleground where Australian Diggers helped put a stop to the German advance on Cairo. Visit the 9th Division Australian Army Memorial and the Commonwealth War Cemetery.
