As we prepare to welcome you on one of our New Zealand tours, we have made a few changes to ensure that you, your fellow travellers and our crews are kept safer than ever. The wellbeing of everyone onboard has always been of paramount importance, and we have taken steps to elevate our health and hygiene measures further still so that you can travel with APT with complete confidence.
Health screenings and COVID-19 testing as required, enhanced sanitation and small group excursions are just some of the changes you will see – though the quality of the service, dining, relaxation and enjoyment that you will experience will remain at the same high standard as they always have.

While you are travelling with APT
Social Distancing
Where possible, we will ensure small group sizes to allow for social distancing; and we are working with local health authorities, and other key partners to ensure that our stringent health and safety standards are met while you are on tour with us. Please note where social distancing is not possible, you may be required to wear a face mask.
On Tour Cleaning
We have increased cleaning aboard all vehicles/aircraft whereby frequently touched surfaces will be regularly cleaned with hospital grade cleaning products. Hand sanitiser will be available on all our vehicles/aircraft at all times. Vehicles/aircraft will undergo deep cleaning between tours.
Masks
The use of face masks will be in line with government health advice at the time. We recommend you bring a supply of face masks should they be needed.
Infection Response Protocols
Guests who present with any COVID-19 symptoms will likely be required to take a test and immediately isolate alongside any members of the same travelling party sharing a room. Our crew and staff will work through the necessary testing requirements, you will be in safe and caring hands. Our aim is to minimise disruption to all passengers when this occurs.

Healthy Crew
Delivering your dream holiday requires a healthy and happy crew and we’ve taken their health, safety and COVID-19 prevention training to the next level. Every member of your APT team will have undertaken industry recognised COVID-19 training in areas of health and hygiene and they will conduct regular COVID-19 tests.
Suppliers
All the wonderful suppliers used across APT’s tours will meet any COVID-19 regulations and have increased cleaning protocols.
